ČAČANSKA KRUPNA

General characteristics

A summer-fruiting cultivar of moderate vigor, and marked production of runners. Pedunceles are medium long, erect and rater firm, so that fruits rarely touch the ground. A cultivar with early vegetation onset. It flowers early. It is a very good cropper. Ripens within 20 days. Rater resistant to common spot of strawberry (Mycosphaerella fragariae (Tull.) Lindau).

Fruit characteristics

The fruit is medium large to large (15 g), blunt-conical, of intense red color. Mesocarp is firm, without hollow hearts, aromatic.


Ripening time

It ripens mid-early, 4-5 days after Čačanska rana. Good transportability.


Mark

As a mid-early, high quality cultivar with good cropping it has shown satisfactory performance under different growing conditions. It is very suitable for both fresh use and freezing and for various forms of processing as well.
