General characteristics
The tree is medium vigorous on the Myrobalan seedling rootstock. It has a loose pyramidal crown of high yielding capacity.The branches abound in bearing wood. It bears fruit on May bouquets and on one-year-old wood. Flower buds contain 1.9 flowers on average.The leaf is medium large, deep green, varying in shape from elliptic to rhomboid like. Petiole is medium long, with few glands at leaf base. The flower is large, white, with well developed flower elements. The flowering season is mid-early, with Rut Gerstetter and Čačanska Rodna, and 1−3 days before Stanley. Self-fertile. It fruits in its second or third leaf. A regular and heavy bearer under different agro-ecological conditions. Relatively susceptible to red leaf spot (Polystigma rubrum Pers.) and plum rust (Puccinia pruni spinosae Diet.) and therefore requires regular control measures. It is not susceptible to fruit and flower rot (Monilinia laxa Aderh et Ruhl.) and is tolerant to plum pox virus. Highly compatible with plum rootstocks.

Fruit characteristics
The fruit is small to medium large, depending on crop (30−40 g). Dimensions: length - 43.8 mm, width - 39.0 mm, thickness - 37.2 mm. Suture line is prominent, dividing fruit into equal halves. Stalk is short, adhering excellently to fruit and shoot. Skin is thin, deep blue with silvery bloom. Flesh is greenish-yellow, firm, juicy, sweet-subacid. The stone is medium large, elliptical, light brown, completely free. Dimensions: length - 22.6 mm, width - 14.3 mm, thickness - 8.7 mm, weight - 1.36 g.
Ripening time
Mid-early cultivar (late July or early August). The fruits are firm with good shipping quality. May be harvested early, as it takes on color early, which adds up to the shipping quality of the cultivar.

Plum Čačanska lepotica is an early, dessert, high quality cultivar. As less vigorous it may be grown in intensive plantings. A regular and heavy bearer in all localities. It is tolerant to Sharka so it can be grown in Sharka-affected areas. It is grown in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania and in all republics of ex-Yugoslavia.
